formerly Taunton Camerata…

Welcome to the new Collegium Singers website –  still under construction so please forgive the lack of consistency in the meantime.  We intend to have the site in full operation in before the first event of our 2009-2010 season.  If you cannot find what you need, please email us at info@collegiumsingers.org.uk

Why change our identity? After all, we  performed some beautiful music in the last 15 years as Taunton Camerata and fully intend to carry on doing so.  Since the appointment of Peter Leech as musical director, we feel we have reached a significant evolutionary point – we could stay the same, or we could change to reflect what is already happening.

There is a new emphasis on context through the pre concert talks, every programme has a story attached to it, and we have a real desire to bring this to our audiences – so now is the time to step into a new musical chapter for us all and explore even more beautiful music.
